Labor Day Weekend Celebration. Celebrate with the family with bull riding, Stock Dog Challenge and Air Fest featuring vintage and warbird airplane displays, remote controlled aircraft show and classic cars. CSA hosts a family oriented weekend event attended by up to 400 aircraft from around the country. During the three-day event, the FAA, EAA and industry leaders present over 20 educational and safety forums. Building workshops for adults (welding, sheet metal, riveting techniques, etc.) and youth (ESTES model rocketry, balsa aircraft, rib building, etc.) help spark a new interest in learning and aviation. Two activities designed specifically for young people are the Flight Simulator area combined with other fun aviation activities and Young Eagles Rides (ages 8-17) provided by local EAA Chapters. www.cosportaviation.org Crew: Duncan, Godfrey, Taylor, Waterman, (Drive: Hine, Kerrigan)
Aircraft on display include: WWII trainer, WWII torpedo bomber, military helicopter, medevac helicopter, Civil Air Patrol, light sport aircraft, home-built aircraft, corporate aircraft, bi-wing aircraft, gliders and more. There will also be a helicopter and open-cockpit bi-wing offering paid rides over the Boulder area at a drastically reduced price. Food vendors will also be available. www.bouldercolorado.gov/airport
