Artifacts
The Rocky Mountain Wing has an ever growing display of WWII memorabilia
for public view.
Our collection encompasses many items donated by CAF members representing
their personal military exploits and accomplishments. Others have
been given to us by veterans and their families wanting to see history
preserved.
If you or your family have such items we are most interested in
obtaining them for our collection.
The CAF also operates American Airpower Heritage Museum (AAHM)
in Midland Texas, which is fully accredited. This museum displays
items of historical significance and tells the story of air power
in WW II. The AAHM also has a collection of "Nose Art" and one-of-a-kind
collections such as Peter Hurd paintings and sketches. For more
information on museum see www.airpowermuseum.org
website.
Artifact Information:
It is very important for the Museum to learn as much as possible
from the artifacts being accepted, history of artifact and who is
donating the artifact. Artifacts from soldiers, airmen, sailors,
marines, WACS, WAVES and home front are all appropriate.
