Rob and his wife Andrea, also a pilot, live and work from their home at the Crawford Colorado airpark (99V) just north of Gunnison and a 20 minute drive from "Gold Medal" trout fishing. Their 120 lbs of sweet chocolate Labrador Retriever, Buster, flys everywhere with them.
With the first 40 years of his life spent in Phoenix, Rob received his pilot license there in 1974. That is also where he assisted in restoring several aircraft of the Commemorative Air Force, including the B-17 and most recently, a TBM Avenger. A CFI and A&P, he also has taught Mountain Flying for the Civil Air Patrol and Colorado Pilots Association courses.
Professionally speaking, Rob worked in the computer and semiconductor industry for Honeywell, IBM, and Motorola before becoming a consultant. His latest business is website design, hosting and Internet marketing. While specializing in aviation-related businesses, he has done quite a few others.
When not dreaming about warbirds, ham radio, scuba diving, skeet and trap shooting, trout fishing and hiking/camping fulfill his remaining spare time.
